The Outcast Racing League (or ORL) is a smaller iRacing league dedicated primarily to oval
racing that provides a place for both experienced and inexperienced sim racers to grow.

We're proud to have partnered with the Outcast Racing League for multiple projects and
seasons alongside our sister entity and video publishing arm, Haulage Studios.

Our time with the ORL began in mid-2020 when we partnered with them to refresh their
brand and make assets for that racing season. We also worked with Haulage Studios
as they produced a specialty cinematic video based on the previous racing season.
The first task on our list was to revamp the overall brand image of the ORL.

While we did want to breathe new, modern styling into the logo design, we also
wanted to preserve some of the current elements for continuity and identity.

We ditched the sharp and paint-style letters for bold ones which have
been shaded to help add depth. We kept the signature "Outcast Orange"
color alongside a new custom color palette and the checkered flag(s).
Next up was getting to work on that season's special logo and brand.

The 2021 season would be designated the "1987 Throwback Series" and
would run stock cars originally driven in the 1987 NASCAR Cup Series.

We took inspiration from the styles and colors of the 1980s and went on
to produce this simple logo alongside other assets for that season.
Racing leagues like this are all volunteer-run and it sometimes takes a lot
of effort to wrangle or lead competitive drivers from across the globe.

The most important thing for a racing league is making sure the drivers,
crew, and fans have easy access to race scheduling information. For this
purpose, we put together custom schedules for each racing season.
Scheduling information tells you *when* to show up but you also
need to know *what* you're showing up to. For this we provide
additional sheets with vital information for that race day.

Once the race is over, we provide a "victory" sheet containing
data about the top finishers and different race statistics.
These races are also often broadcasted live by members of
the community on platforms like YouTube. For this we've also
provided branded thumbnails and even this custom ticker.

The production of this ticker meant we had to work with the
Appgineering TV Overlay or ATVO, something brand new to us.

We love going beyond simple design work by tackling projects
like this which require extensive learning. It showcases our flexibility
and ingenuity when placed into an unknown environment.
One of the major aspects of motorsports is photography
and this continues well into the simulation gaming sphere.

Here you can see a custom car hauler design produced
for a separate simulation game, American Truck Simulator.

Also seen is the '87 Throwback Series race at Michigan
which took place in 2021. Tucked in to the '24 Truck Series
race at Charlotte are two of our custom racing liveries.
